
Mohammed Al Masri is a researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies (CSS) at the University of Jordan. He obtained his PhD in Middle Eastern Studies in 2005 from the University of Durham–UK and earned his BA and MA in History and Political Science at the University of Jordan.
Dr. Al Masri currently does research on socio-political issues in Jordan, including political participation and the political economy of wealth distribution. He works closely with the CSS Public Opinion Polling Unit at the center in supervising surveys within his areas of interest, including political reform and democratization in Jordan and the Middle East and the role of tribal structure in political life in Jordan. He previously supervised a major research project on Jordanian–Palestinian relations (domestic and external dimensions) and his latest work in progress is a book on terrorism in Jordan.
